Edwin L. Stengle, a member and former elder of Zion (Shaffer's) Evangelical and Reformed Church, was born September 24, 1889, and died at his home near Glen Rock, Pa., May 30, 1950, aged 60 years, 8 months, and 6 days.
Mr. Stengle was a respected citizen in the community in which he spent practically all his life. He was a devoted husband and a kind father.
His own pastor was away from home at the time of his death. The funeral services were in charge of Rev. George Daugherty, pastor of the Jefferson Evangelical United Brethren Charge. Burial was made in the Shaffer's Church Cemetery.
