FLAG POND, TENNESSEE - Jacob "Jake" Metcalf, 82, of Route 1, Flag Pond, Tennessee died Thursday, September 26, 1991 in a Unicoi County hospital.

A lifelong resident of Unicoi County, he was a retired sawmill operator and farmer. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

He was survived by his wife, Donna Fox Metcalf; two sons, Billy Earl Metcalf of Mars Hill, N.C. and Vaughn Metcalf of Seaford, Virginia; two daughters, Guindola Hensley of Flag Pond, Tennessee and Edna Shook of Weaverville, N.C.; three brothers, Zade, Hubert and Tony Metcalf of Flag Pond, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 1991 in the chapel of Ledford Funeral Home, Erwin, Tennessee. The Revs. Lloyd Ponder and Jerry Kent officiated. Burial was in Divide Cemetery.
