Mr. Byron Gordon Allen passed away at his home on April 19, 2021. Byron was born on December 12, 1966 to Wayne Harding Allen and Sarah Jo Petree Allen in Forsyth County. Byron enjoyed making model cars in his spare time, as well as working on his beloved Ford Ranger truck. He also enjoyed working on bicycles for both himself as well as neighborhood children. He was an avid bicycle rider.

He was also a long-time cat daddy, Tippy was his companion and he was a doting father to him.

Byron's early childhood was spent in Kannapolis where the family lived in the early 70s. The family moved to Winston in the late 70s and has remained in Winston since.

He is preceded in death by his father Wayne and his mother Sarah. He is survived by his brother, Benjamin Wayne Allen, of Winston Salem, his cat-niece Calliope, and his cherished cat-son Tippy.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to your favorite animal rescue, kidney disease research, diabetes research, or breast cancer research. Byron would have preferred the money go to these.
