Sharon M. Ackley, 67, of Vermont, passed on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on August 3, 1954 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Fay and Evelyn (Duckwiler) Mahan. Sharon married William Ackley on May 16, 1971 in Vermont, IL. He survives.

She is also survived by her daughter Lisa (and Darrin) Kreps of Vermont, granddaughter, Chelsea (and Tyler Baker) Ackley of Vermont, great-grandson, Dawsyn Baker, sister, Vicky (and Jim) Ackley of Vermont, and brother, Richard Mahan of Vermont.

She is preceded by her parents and great-grandson, Brayden Baker.

Sharon was a housekeeper and use to do housekeeping for others.

She enjoyed gardening, yard sales, jigsaw puzzles and Facebook.

Services will be held 2 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. Pastor Cody Stinnett will be officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in the Vermont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
