ALBERT J. BORNEFELD DIES IN ADIRONDACKS
Saratoga Springs lost one of her best liked young men in the death of Albert J. Bornefeld, which occurred at 8 o'clock Sunday evening at Gabriels on Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. Mr. Bornefeld, who was forty years of age, had been a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs, where every person who knew him was his friend. He was possessed of a kind-hearted disposition the effects of which were shown in the many expressions of regret which were heard when the news of his death became known.
Mr. Bornefeld was a jeweler by trade and for many years conducted a store on Broadway. He had been in failing health for a number of years and early in the year his continued ill health forced him to sell out and retire from business, after which he went to the mountains in the hope of improvement. He was a member of Saratoga Council, 246, Knights of Columbus, and an honorary life member of Saratoga Lodge of Elks.
The body was brought to this city at 9:20 o'clock last evening and taken to the residence of Dr. James R. Swanick, 80 Woodlawn avenue. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning from the Swanick home and at 9:30 o'clock from St. Peter's church. Burial will be made in St. Peter's cemetery. Mr. Bornefeld left no immediate relatives.
