Linda Sue Blankenship was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on November 14, 1945 to John and Elizabeth (Best) Uram. She grew up and attended school in Arizona, Saint Louis, and Sullivan before going to work at an early age.
Linda was a phenomenal baker and cook. She not only baked many wedding cakes for friends and family in the Sullivan area, but went as far as to cater entire wedding and graduation parties. She was also a self-taught furniture upholsterer. Linda enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and especially family float trips. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Linda was a faithful member of the Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters: Lillian Hall, June Williams, Margaret Dixon, Eva Baggio, and Mary Casey; and a brother, Michael Uram.
Funeral Mass will be 11 AM, Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Holy Martyrs of Japan Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM, Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
