Larry Mark Brewer, 66, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., passed away on July 13, 2022.

He was born on Sept. 28, 1955 in New Orleans, La., to Lawrence E. and Daphne J. (Keller) Brewer.

Larry graduated from high school in 1973. He attended Oakland City University and then graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelor's and a master's degree in music.

Over the years he taught music in Henderson, Ky, Tell City, Clarksville, southern Montgomery County and other schools in Kentucky and Florida until retirement. He played the trombone in several symphonies and jazz bands and was often a judge for music events.

Larry is survived by his parents, Lawrence and Daphne Brewer; siblings Greg Brewer of St. Petersburg, Fla., Eric (Judith) Brewer of Ladoga and sister Melinda Brewer (Joan) of Milledgeville, Ga.; two nieces, Bailey Cummings and Ella Brewer; and one nephew, E.J. Brewer.

There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Waveland.
