Benjamin Robert Haskins at the age of ninety-four departed this life on Saturday, July 22, 2022. He was born August 5, 1927, in Clarksville, Virginia to Selma Crawford and James Curtis and one sister Malinda (Walter) Foster. Ben, or Papa as he was commonly called was educated in Clarksville Public School system. Benjamin married Lavenia Haskins on December 30, 1957, in Arlington, VA, this union was blessed with two children LaVerne and Robert Haskins. Ben was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and Leader. Ben joined the Navy in 1945 and was Honorably Discharged. Benjamin and Lavenia moved to New Jersey. Benjamin worked for the Bayonne Military Ocean Terminal. A faithful and dedicated employee he retired after many years of service. He was also a member of the Mason. Ben was preceded in death, by his wife Lavenia, his parents Selma Crawford and James Curtis. Loving son Correction Officer Robert B., sister Malinda Foster, sister in-law Eugenia (Jeannie) brothers-in-law Leroy, Maceo and Ricky.

Ben is survived by his daughter LaVerne, grandson, Robert L., granddaughters, Felicia E., and Alicia E., great grandsons, Elijah, Joel and Jasyah, great granddaughters, Shaciah, Nahciah and Zariah, Sisters-in-law Johnnie
