Marilyn Glass Fatzinger Benscoter, of Phoebe-Allentown, died on August 5, 2022 at age 85. She was born in Allentown on January 20, 1937 to James and Frances (Appel) Glass. At the time of his death, she was married to Sheldon (Sam) Benscoter for 37 years in June 2005. Among their interesting vacations were two to Italy and Germany along with the pilot of Sam's WWII crew. They were able to trace part of his trek as a POW from Vipiteno, Italy to Moosbury, Germany, also known as Stalag VIIA.

A 1954 graduate of Allentown High School, she worked mostly in public health starting at Lehigh County Tuberculosis and Health Society and also at both Allentown General Hospial and Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. As a formerly active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Whitehall, she served several years with her husband as financial secretary and as delegates to several diocesan conventions. From 1986 she was active in the flower ministry and in 2000 she became editor of the Steve Adore, the church's monthly newsletter.

Survivors – son Randy Fatzinger with wife Sharon, son-in-law Mark Conner, grandchildren Alison and Christopher Conner, Zachary and Benjamin Fatzinger, 2 great grandchildren, brother Ronald Glass with wife Sandy, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Donna Conner and sisters Suzann Irish and Dolores Fronheiser.
