OBITUARY

MRS. NEIL McCaskill, SOMERVILLE, MASS.

Gould, Que., February 8. -- News was received on Saturday, January 23rd. by Mr. Kenneth Nicholson of the death of his sister, Annie Nicholson, widow of the late Mr. Neil McCaskill, which occurred in Somerville, Mass., at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Dockham.

The remains were taken to Lancaster, Mass., where the funeral service was held at the residence of her son. Mr. William McCaskill, and from there by train to Scotstown.

On the arrival of the eleven a.m. train the remains were conveyed to Gould, where a short burial service was concluded at the graveside by Rev. J. MacLean Beaton, pastor of Chalmer's Church.

Mrs. McCaskill, who was seventy-nine years of age, was a former resident of Scotstown, where most of her married life was spent.

Her sons and daughters and other relatives who motored to Gould to be present at the burial were Mr. and Mrs. D. Dockham, of Somerville, Mass., Mrs. Craftam and daughter, Annie, Mr. William McCaskill, of Lancaster, Mass., and Mr. Angus McCaskill, of Jackman, Maine.

Deep sympathy is extended to the family and to her brother, Mr. K. Nicholson, who is the only surviving member of a large family.

Beautiful floral tributes from the family and friends were silent tokens of the esteem in which Mrs. McCaskill was held.

The bearers were Messrs. John and Charles Buchanan, Alex and George McKay, Byron Beaton and Henry Nicholson.

Interment took place in the Bury Cemetery.
