June Kathleen (Tancredi Mahaffey) Warner, age 93, a longtime resident of both Detroit and Washington Twp., and currently of Midland, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2020.

She was born June 11, 1926 in Detroit, the daughter of Christian and Grace Marie (Passero) Tancredi.

After graduating from Western High School, June enlisted in the U. S. Cadet Nurse Corps at Harper Hospital on September 12, 1944. She graduated with an R.N. Diploma on August 14, 1948. Because WW II had ended by then, June was not called to active duty. She worked as an industrial nurse in the private sector for many years, before and after raising her family.

June married Elmer Lewis (Lew) Mahaffey in Detroit, on April 3, 1954, who preceded her in death in 1975.

She married George Andrew Warner on June 23, 1990 in Detroit, who also preceded her in death in 2012.

June enjoyed sewing, going to the casino, cooking but, most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved children LuAnn (Michael) Scheuermann of Katonah, New York and Lewis (Wendy) Mahaffey of Kawkawlin, loving grandchildren Holly Mahaffey of Rochester, Bonny (Christopher) Hesterly of Bay City, Sara (Andre) Smith of Traverse City, Margaret Scheuermann of Bellingham, Washington, James (Pratha Katti) Scheuermann of Malden, Massachusetts; great grandchildren Thomas Thorpe, Charlie Smith and Noah Smith.

In addition, she is survived by step daughter Linda (Gil) Wiechowski, step grandchildren David (Marianne) Price, Cynthia (Richard) McMurray and 5 step great grandchildren.

June had many friends, cousins and neighbors who were very dear to her but too numerous to mention.

Burial was made at Acacia Park in Beverly Hills, Michigan.

Memorial Donations may be made in Junes honor to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements entrusted to the Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center (296 S. Main, Romeo, MI 48065)
