Eleanor F. Coutant of Wawarsing, a lifelong resident and homemaker, died January 23, 2008 at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus. She was 65.
The daughter of Leroy and Mary E. Hall Goble, she was born August 29, 1942 in Salisbury Mills, NY. She was the widow of John Coutant.
She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Coutant of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Eleanor Alvarez of Kerhonkson; three sons: Joseph Coutant of Napanoch, John Coutant of Kingston, Russell Whipple of Kingston; her sisters: Marion Nizler of Pittsburgh, PA, June McDonnel of Fulton, NY, Nancy Chapin of South Fallsburg, Rose Burns of Poughkeepsie; two brothers, Harold Goble of Richmond, VA, Lee Goble of Newburgh; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jay Coutant; a granddaughter, Kaylee Alvarez; sisters, Margaret Hall and Mary Ducker; and brother, Leroy Goble.
Friends may call at Loucks Funeral Home, Inc., 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, on Sunday, January 27, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, following the calling hours, with the Rev. Jay Vogelaar officiating. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
