On August 7, 2022, Isobel Caroline MacLennan (Wickens) formerly of Kitchener and Port Elgin died at Extendicare Hamilton.

Mother of Brian, James (deceased), Heather, Brent, Mark and Dorothy.

Grandmother of Craig, Shane (deceased), Christopher, Julie (deceased), Laura, Matthew, Bridget, Kerry, Kathleen and Eric.

Great Grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband James Lloyd MacLennan and brother Frederick Wickens.

Isobel was an avid reader from an early age and there was nothing better to her than a good book, a cup of tea and a cat on her lap.

She also enjoyed travelling with friends and one of her favourite trips was to Scotland.

Isobel worked in a dress shop when she was younger and always had a great sense of style.

She also had a great sense of humour. Isobel grew up in Kitchener (Bridgeport).

After her husband retired from the Kitchener Fire Department, they went on a casual road trip with his car club and randomly stopped in Port Elgin. They immediately loved the town and bought a house there.

She enjoyed spending time at the beach and watching the sunsets.

After recently falling and breaking her hip, Isobel moved to Hamilton to be closer to family.

As per her wishes, no funeral will be held and cremation has taken place.

Donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association which was a favoured charity of hers.
