She was born in Clarksburg to the late John William and Elsie Glade Crouser McDonald. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Joy Haaland; son, Charles Edward Burford; sisters, Willa Lilly, Naomi Workman Betty McDonald; brothers, Bill and Larry McDonald.
Carolyne was a retired secretary for the FAA and she also worked for the Internal Revenue Service.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen Christian and Kimberly Burford; caretaker and grandson, Jeremiah Scott Christian; son-in-law, Donald Haaland and sister, Lorretta McCauley. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2002 at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home. The funeral procession will leave at 12:30 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
