Walter was born and raised in Manhattan, attended St. Marks, graduated Yale class of 1952 and received a masters from Columbia University. For the last 30 years he dedicated his life to enhancing the lives of others through his work as co-directer of Human Dimensions, Inc with his wife Judy Burns-Schwab.
He is survived by his siblings Herman Schwab, Anne Corcos, children, Katry Schwab, Diana Schwab, Sarah Ambrogi, Walter P. Schwab, Jr, Christopher Schwab, Step children Gary Syck, Karen Mason and 9 grandchildren.
A service in Walter's honor will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, his wife asks donations be made to a charity of one's choice.
