Edward Joseph Schade, 70, of Nashville, minister of the First Wesleyan Church died yesterday in Baptist Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Wesleyan Church.
Visitation will be today and tomorrow at Eastland Funeral Home/
Mr. Schade, a nativeof Nashville, was the sonof John Henry and Anna Louise Carruthers Schade.
He was the founder and pastor of First Wesleyan Church.
He was founder and president of Emmanuel Biblle College, where he also taught.
He was chaplain for the Tennessee Department of Correction at Spencer Youth Center and senior chaplain of the Sheriff's Department of the Nashville Metro government.
Schade had been president and vice president of the conference of the Wesleyan church.
He was a major in the Civil Air Patrol.
He was named Outstanding Pastor of the Year, Wesleyan Church in 1963.
He married Eunice Katherine dutton in 1940.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe and Jim Schade both of Nashville; three daughters, Ann McPherson, Nashville, Tommie Barnes, Houghton, N., and Debbie Thomas, Nashville and a brother, John Henry Schade Jr., Warrenton, Va.
