Funeral services were held for Mrs. Emogene Nix, 63, at 2 p.m. on July 8, in Hixson Funeral Home.
The Revs. Charles Nugene and Brian Kershaw officiated. Burial was in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation was at 8 a.m. on July 8.
Mrs. Nix died Sunday, July 7, 1991, in a local hospital.
A native of Brownsville, Texas, she retired in 1982 from Muller's Department Store in Lake Charles after 27 years of service. She opened the first Prien Lake Mall Muller's ladies apparel store and worked as a buyer for the downtown store. She was a member of Living Way Pentecostal Church.
At the time of her death she was survived by one sister, Mrs. Adolph (Frances) Machicek of Victoria, Texas, and one niece, Sharon.
Memorial contributions were made to St. Patrick Hospice, at the request of the family.
