Barbara Ann Arthur, 77, of Terre Haute, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at Springhill Village in Terre Haute. She was born June 3, 1937, in Brookesburg, Ind., to Clarence Housefield and Norma Buchannon Housefield.
Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Woolsey and her husband Rich of Terre Haute; four sons, King Arthur and his wife Chris of Charleston, Ill., Jeff Arthur of Niles, Mich., Jim Arthur and his wife Tia of Marshall, Ill., and Jerry "Boo" Arthur of Danville, Ill.; a sister, Marjorie Ginn of Madison; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Arthur, Ryan Arthur, Kris Woolsey, Andy Arthur, Chelsea Arthur, Cassie Arthur, Casey Arthur, and Corey Arthur; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kathleen Webster, and Marilyn Hart; three brothers, Paul Housefield, Marvin Housefield and Clarence Housefield Jr.
Funeral services for Barbara will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with Pastor Ben Stallings officiating. According to her wishes, cremation has been chosen. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until service time Saturday. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Springhill Village for the loving care they provided to Barbara and her family.
