BARNES—Olan Barnes, 3401 Brandon, age 33, died Thursday Feb. 14, 1957 at Hurley Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, Feb. 18, 1957 from St. Pius X Catholic Church, Fr. John Blasko officiating. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery. Remains will be at Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home, Rosary will be recited at 8 P.M. Sunday. Death was accidental. He was born in Cardwell, Mo. Dec. 29, 1923, and lived in Flint for 13 years coming from Cardwell, Mo. He spent 3 years in the Navy. He married Frances M. Joseph at St. Michael Church May 18, 1946. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Disabled American Veterans, and the Sheet Metal Workers International Assn. Surviving are: Wife: Frances M. Barnes; Son, Olan Barnes, Jr.; Mother, Mrs. C. F. Barnes of Flint: 4 sisters, Mrs. Stanley Frase and Mrs. Leroy Gates of Flint, Mrs. Lyle Wolcott of Ludington, Michigan, Mrs. Westley Thomas of Waco, Texas; 5 brothers, Roland Smyth, William Smyth, Hubert Smyth, Hirsel Smyth, Cecil Smyth all of Flint; numerous nieces and nephews.

Olen Barnes, 3401 Brandon, died Thursday at Hurley hospital following a fall last Wednesday while working on the roof of Chevrolet plant 8. He was 33 years of age.
Barnes was employed by the Zack sheet metal company, and was a member of local 533 sheet metal workers. He had served on the executive board since July of 1956.
Funeral services will be held Monday at St. Piux X, Catholic Church, with Father John Blasko officiating.
Burial will be at New Calvary cemetery.
The body will remain at the Dodd-Dumanois Funeral home.
Survivors include wife Frances and one son.
