"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7

On Thursday, August 11th, 2022, Cullen Mancuso, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at home at age 86. Cullen was born on February 5th,1936 in Houston, Texas to Charlie Vincent Mancuso and Rose (Trippodo) Mancuso. Cullen's family immigrated from Alia, Sicily, where he grew up in a humble home learning the importance of family and the value of hard work. He started working alongside his father at a young age selling vegetables at his grandfather's business.

Cullen married Patti (McIlwain) Mancuso on February 6, 1954. Shortly after getting married they bought their own grocery store and later acquired another. Cullen and Patti had three children, Patricia, Vincent, and Charles "Charlie". Cullen loved the outdoors and spending time in the country. He purchased some acreage in Brazos County where he enjoyed taking the family on the weekends. He decided to move his family to Bryan and sold the stores in Houston.

After moving to Bryan he built several successful businesses that served the community for over 40 years. Most notably, U-Rent-M, an equipment rental company, with six locations across Central Texas. Cullen was a compassionate man with a servant's heart. He created a work environment that was centered around faith and family and was truly endeared and respected by everyone.

Cullen sold U-Rent-M in 1996 and retired to spend time with his family and pursue other endeavors. Even after retirement Cullen was always on the go and loved to work especially at his ranches. He had a gift for transforming raw land into beautiful properties and was passionate about raising cattle. He enjoyed driving out to his ranch with Patti and his dog Sammy to feed cows.

Cullen was extremely involved in the community over the years. He was an active member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church where he held several leadership roles. He was an active member of the Noon Lions Club. He sat on the board for the Texas Rental Association. He was honored by the Small Business Administration with the BusinessMan of the Year Award for the state of Texas. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and countless other organizations.

Cullen led his life based on his devotion to his Catholic faith. He gave of himself freely and was there for anyone in need. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandpa and great-grandfather. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very involved in their lives. He always attended their school, extracurricular activities, and parties throughout the years. He never forgot a family birthday and always sent handwritten cards that will be forever cherished. He also enjoyed baking bread and would always have a loaf for the grandkids.

Cullen is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rose (Trippodo) Mancuso, and daughter Patricia Scarmardo.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Patti Mancuso; his son, Charlie Mancuso and wife Cindy; and his son, Vincent Mancuso; his son in law Bill Scarmardo, his granddaughters, Melissa Scarmardo-Rhodes and husband Ed, Amanda (Mancuso) Laird and husband Tim, and Allison (Mancuso) Kusak and husband Lee; his grandsons, William Scarmardo, Cullen Mancuso and wife Kelly, Cory Mancuso and wife Hallie, and Christian Mancuso and fiancée Brooke; his great-grandchildren Charlie, Josh, and Landon Laird, Ruth and Calvin Rhodes, Evie, Lillie, and baby boy Kusak, Graham and Reese Mancuso, and Claire, Blake, and Reid Mancuso; and his sister Madelyn Marie (Mancuso) Foster.
