James A. Canda, 86, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. A native of Saginaw, Michigan, Jim had been a resident of Newport News for 45 years. Retired from the USAF as a Master Sergeant after 22 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Canda.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in Hampton Veterans Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, August 17th at 11:00 a.m.
