SILVER CREEK - Doris L. Crandall Pattison Dawley, 81, of Hanover Road, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday (March 22, 2003) in her home.
She was born June 9, 1921, in the town of Arkwright, the daughter of George and Molly Miller Crandall.
She was a charter member of the Grape Bunch Campers in Fredonia.
She enjoyed working with flowers in her garden. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, reading, writing poems and fishing.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Kulpa of Silver Creek; a son, Ronald Pattison of Silver Creek; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stuart V. Pattison, on Aug. 10, 1965; her second husband, Milford R. Dawley, on April 2, 1995; a stepson, Michael Dawley; a brother, Richard Crandall; and two sisters: Anita Shaw and Marjorie Clark.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main St., Forestville. The Rev. Daniel Rutenber, pastor of the Gage Chapel Community Church, Smith Mills, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Fredonia, at the convenience of the family.
