Azaleen R. (Hicks) Baker, 75, passed away at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, IN on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

She was born on May 21, 1947 in Clairfield, Tennessee to the late Albert Loy and Ethel (Martin) Hicks. Azaleen married Earnest "Ernie" Baker on September 13, 1968 in Peru, IN and he survives.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed embroidery and sewing.

In addition to her husband, Azaleen is survived by her brother, Melvis (Barbara) Hicks and special friend, Leah K. Case.

Azaleen is preceded in death by her parents, son, Anthony Wayne Baker, five brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 11am to 1pm at The Christian Pilgrim Church, 512 Monroe Avenue, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Paul Lane officiating. Burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Logansport, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of their son; Anthony.
