Reverend James Henry Behler, fifty-six years of age, passed away on June 15, 1970 in a Conroe hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was formerly of Indianapolis, and was a resident of Houston. He was a graduate of Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was the former field administration director for the institutional missions of the United Christian Missionary Society. He had served as a pastor in Kansas and Oklahoma. At the time of his death, he was acting pastor of the Lake Forest Christian Church in Houston.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Behler; a daughter, Mrs. Gary Brown; and a son, George Warren Behler.
