David L. Erickson, age 82, of Dixon, IL, formerly of Yorkville, IL, passed away August 15, 2022, at the Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital, in Dixon, IL.
He was born on April 29, 1940, in Aurora, IL, the son of LeRay and Jeanette (Noga) Erickson.
David was united in marriage on June 14, 1959 to Luanne Brettelle and they spent the next 63 years happily together. Mr. Erickson was employed for 37 years by Nicor Gas Co. He was a former Yorkville Lions Club member. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
David is survived by his wife; his three children, one daughter and two sons and their wives; his nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; his two siblings, one brother and one sister; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRay and Jeanette Erickson; his sons, Shawn Erickson and David Erickson and his siblings, Darlene Lull and Ronald Erickson.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL, with Pastor Stevan Saunders, officiating. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the hour of service on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the funeral home, in Yorkville, IL.
