William married Dorothy Hazel Baker of Ashland New Hampshire on Sept 23, 1939. He was a fish dealer at the time residing with his father in Hill New Hampshire. Dorothy had been born in Holderness, daughter of Matthew Basil Baker and Maude H. (Patten) of Ashland. Her father was a foreman in the paper mill. William moved to Ashland after the marriage.
They had children Wayne born about 1938, Robert 1940, William Matthew 1941 who died 2000, Richard 1945, Terry 1947, James 1950, Jane Mary born 1951 and Heidi Grace born 1962.
They were residing on Church Street in 1940 and William was a sea food salesman. William was 26 and Dorothy age 20 and they had a son Wayne then age 2.
William was 42 in 1950 and had an occupation of that of a driver of a retail fish cart. They resided in Meredith in 1950.
Dorothy died 1989.
