Cleone L. Abel passed away April 20, 2016, at the age of 90. She was born in Cascade, Idaho, July 7, 1925, to Raymond and Grace (Patterson) Floyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger; sister, Doris; nephew, Loren; and her husband, Roland A. Abel, who died in 1993.

Cleone is survived by her daughter, Lynn M. Lee; two granddaughters, Debbie Szabo and Missy Brown; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa Cook and Miranda Miller; three great-grandsons, Derek, Dylan and David Brown; one great-great-granddaughter, Valkyrie Cook; and nephew, Larry James.

She retired after 30 years with the State Department of Social and Health Services. Cleone loved the outdoors, especially camping in our Northwest parks and the Southern California deserts. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Chehalis and she loved spending time with her friends at the Twin Cities Senior Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
