The funeral for Stacy R. Aakre will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester.

Her body was found Monday (Jan. 28, 2008) in her Stewartville apartment. She was 35.

Stacy Renee Wrolstad was born March 31, 1972, in Rochester. Growing up in Rochester, she attended Sunset Terrace Elementary School and John Marshall High School. She married Merle Aakre; they were later divorced. She worked as a personal attendant, and later for IBM as an assembler with Manpower Services. She loved the outdoors, camping and four-wheeling, and also enjoyed beadwork.

Survivors include a son, Andre Wrolstad Flicke of Wanamingo; two daughters, Aleah and Nikay Aakre of Rochester; her mother, April Wrolstad of Rochester; a brother, Jeremy (Julianne) Wrolstad of Ithaca, N.Y.; a sister, Amanda Wrolstad of Rochester; and her maternal grandmother, Tammi Schultz of Red Wing. She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal grandfather, and her paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes.
