Obituary
It is with broken hearts that the family of Jerry Madrid mourns his passing on August 18, 2022, surrounded by his wife of 47 years, Yolanda Mendoza Madrid, and his sons Jered, Jacob, and Gilbert.

Jerry graduated from Santa Ana High School, following which he proudly served in the U.S Army and fought in Vietnam. He worked for the City of Orange for many years, and enjoyed a retirement focused on golfing with friends from his golf group.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, 10:00 am. Following Mass, Jerry will be interred at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Ave., Santa Ana 92705.

Jerry was the son of the late Gilbert and Helen Madrid and the brother of the late Esther Reyes and Gilbert Madrid Jr.

He is survived by sisters Beatrice Banuelos, Estella Murrieta, Esperanza Madrid, and Mary Gomez; brothers-in-law Tommy Banuelos, David Gomez, Urbie Murrietta, Rene Mendoza and Reggie Mendoza; his mother-in-law Mary Mendoza; and innumerable nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry was a quiet, private man who radiated pride in his sons and loved them with all his heart. He will be greatly missed.
