L. Alaga met death in the App mine at 4:30 o'clock this (Friday) morning. He stepped into the shaft at the 1300 level and fell into the sump, a distance of 25 feet, and was drowned. The body was immediately recovered, and as the Democrat went to press Coronor C. H. Burden was holding an inquest and ascortaining the circumstances surrounding the death. Alaga was a miner and 24 years of age.
