Mrs. Butz is preceded in death by her first husband of 54 years, Robert H. Suckow; second husband of 14 years, F. Edward Butz; two brothers, Allen A. and John H. Barnhart.
Mrs. Butz was a graduate of Fortville High School and Central Normal College. She was a school teacher in her early years and taught in Johnson and Clark Counties. She was a member of Meridian Street United Church, Order of the Eastern Star and PEO Sisterhood.
