Blue Hill - Dawn E. (Duffy) Moraisey, 59, passed away August 25, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, after a brief illness with her nephew and his fiancé at her side. She was born December 7, 1962, in Blue Hill the daughter of Chandler "Chan" and Sylvia "Sue" (Keefe) Duffy.
Dawn was a graduate of George Stevens Academy and attended two years of college at UMF, Farmington. She worked as manager of a gas station in Ellsworth Falls and later at Reny's in Ellsworth.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her loved ones, especially over the holidays. She made wreaths, Christmas was her favorite holiday. She also loved sewing and had an eye for decorating and she loved cows. Dawn cherished and loved the deacons bench made by her grandfather, Bob Duffy, it was one of her prized possessions.
Dawn is survived by her nephew, Matthew Duffy and fiancé, Jaime Murphy; aunt, Katherine Smith; uncles, Norman and Stanley Keefe; great-nieces, Juliet and Roselynn Duffy; second cousin, Richard Duffy; and good friends, Joan Torrey and Carol Lyons. Dawn will be sadly missed by her furry friend, Penelope. She was predeceased by her parents; grandparents, Bob and Dot Duffy; and grandparents, Cynthia and F. Eldon Keefe; brother, Stephen Duffy; uncle, Calvin Keefe; and aunt, Malissa Carter.
Graveside services will be private at Mountain View Cemetery, Blue Hill.
