SIAS- Orville O Adkins, 69, of Sias, Lincoln County, died Aug 6 1991, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Huntington, of a long illness.. He was a gas field driller retired from Jackson Drilling Co, Hamlin. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving wife, Lena Honaker Adkins; son, Keith of Sias; daughter, Verna Adkins and Hope Merritt, both of Sias; brother, Darless of Sias, sisters, Mildred Adkins of Sumerco, Betty Baker of Ranger, Jewell Adkins of Sias, Sally Adkins of South Charleston; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, with the Rev. Russell Adkins and the Rev K.D. Bragg officiating, Burial will be in Goldsbury Cemetery, Sias, with graveside rites conducted by the American Legion. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
