Spec. Keys enlisted in the Army in January of 1970 and arrived in Vietnam last August.
He was born Nov. 8, 1949, at Billings, Mont., and the next year he moved to Seattle with the family. In 1952 the family moved to Manson where he graduated from high school in 1968. He attended Central Washington State College at Ellensburg.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church at Chelan.
Surviving besides the parents are five sisters, Mary, Sheila, Charlotte, Virginia and Angie, and the brothers, John and James, all at home; and the grandparents, Mrs. Vic Howell of Manson, and Harlow Pease, Helena, Mont.
