Mrs. Cassidy, 67, Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Dettie Cassidy, 67, died Monday afternoon, May 27 at Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City.
She was born October 30, 1900 at Olean, the daughter of James S. and Nancy Amy Fermer Russell.
She was married to James A. Cassidy in November 1919. He died in 1959. She was a member of the Christian church in Olean.
Survivors include two sons and four daughters: Maurice and Lloyd Cassidy, both of California; Mrs. George Evans, Sedalia, Mrs. Vernon Harmon and Mrs. J.T. Arnold, both of California, and Mrs. Harold Braun, Festus; two brothers, Albert and Ray Russell, both of Olean; twelved grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne, who died in 1937, and a daughter, Juanita, who died in 1950.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Swinehart officiating. Music was by Mrs. Don Moore, soloist, accompanied by Miss Ruth Longan. Burial was in the California City cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Barry, Joe Moore, Jim Lowe, Virgil Martin, Clarence Busch and Macks Livingston.
