Dolores was Born February 14, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio as an only child to the late Albert and Elizabeth Schoenbachler.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Dr. Philip Peter Ruetz. Both Dolores and Phil leave their three children and grandchildren to cherish their loving memories. Children: David Ruetz & wife Noreen, Lauren Ruetz and Elise Ruetz. Grandchildren: Robert Ruetz & wife Jessica, Rachel Ruetz and Rebekah Ruetz. Grand dog: Betty.
Dolores graduated Oberlin College & Conservatory with a degree in Music. Her singing career led to notable Opera performances while traveling with the CBS Radio Show Group in the early 1950's. Her gifted talent touched many lives as a voice coach at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in the late 1970's. She also had the honor of serving on the board of the Milwaukee Florentine Opera Company making substantial contributions with her management of the Opera previews. This passion for music also took her and her husband to the some of the world's greatest Opera houses.
She was a connoisseur of all things beautiful including travel, fine cuisine and the Arts. She impeccably planned family excursions to the most memorable destinations and landmarks.
Dolores had a gift of developing devoted bonds with everyone she met. She lived her life with grace and elegance, but above all was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend.
The family would like to extend special thanks to all the caregivers of Stowell Associates, TheKey Caregiving Service and Horizon Hospice for their compassionate care of Dolores over the past few years.
She will be dearly missed.
