part in the construction of many businesses in Wilmington and the surrounding area. He loved talking about his
youth and the times he rode the streetcar to the beach. He had many fond memories of his time living at
Kure Beach and growing up in the Dry Pond area. As a youth he and his friends enjoyed skating at an outdoor
rink at Lakeside, what is now Greenfield Lake. Marion often spoke fondly of his family and friends that had
passed before him. One of his favorite pastimes was watching football and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by daughters Cathy Metz and husband Dave, Teresa Holm and companion David Miller,
grandsons Dave Metz, wife Randi, and Greg Holm. One granddaughter Holly Holm, one great grandson
Tristan Perrett and several nieces and nephews.
