Delsie Benshoof, 78, of Leeds, ND passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at Towner County Medical Center in Cando, ND. Public Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Leeds, ND.

Delsie Senger was born January 12, 1943 to Wendelyn and Vera (Zinger) Senger in Devils Lake, ND. She was raised in Devils Lake and graduated with the class of 1961. Delsie was united in marriage to Patrick Benshoof on December 27, 1961 in Devils Lake. She was a military wife and they raised their children all over the United States.

Delsie and her family moved to Churchs Ferry in 1978, owning and operating Pat's Place for 15 years. Delsie worked at the Crossroads Café for many years and then cooked at the Towner County Medical Center in Cando, until she retired.

Delsie never missed any of her grandchildren's events, as they were the light of her life.

Delsie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Patrick; sons, Cayce Benshoof of Leeds, ND, Craig (Sun) Benshoof of Fontana, CA; daughter, Carla (Brian) Bjerke of Leeds, ND; grandchildren, Tyler (Taryn) Bjerke and Alice Chon; two great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Merrell of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendelyn and Vera Senger; brother, Danny Senger.
