MUNCIE – Walter Robert "Bob" Dillmon, Jr, 88, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 22, 1933 in Dunkirk, the son of Walter Robert and Thelma Fern (Hornbaker) Dillmon and graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1952.
Bob worked for Borg Warner for 39 years and was a member of Cowan Christian Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing euchre and poker and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Dillmon of Muncie; three children, Robyn Williamson of Muncie, Lesa Criswell (Terry) of Muncie and Robert Brian Dillmon of Boynton Beach, FL; three step-children, Jill Baney (Dan) of Avon, Kay Beam (Ralph) of Mishawaka and Lynn Case (Larry) of Auburn; six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and eleven step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kathy Sorenson (Peter) of Ft. Wayne and Pat Vanderbur of Hartford City.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Sue Dillmon on February 3, 1981; son-in-law, Robert Williamson; and two brothers, Richard Dillmon and Jim Dillmon.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Larry Delaney and Vince Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery, Albany.
