Patricia Ann Abblitt passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the age of 94. She was born in Pomona, CA on August 27, 1927 and graduated from Pomona High School in 1944. While still in high school, she went on a blind date and met a Merchant Marine on leave who served in the South Pacific during WWII named Richard Ablitt, and they were married in 1946 and were married for 58 years before he passed in 2004. In 1988 they moved to Peachtree City, GA for 12 years , before relocating to Smyrna, GA where Pat lived for 21 years. Pat leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty Ann Abblitt; grandchildren Parker (Whitney), A.J. (Grace), and Ginger; great grandsons, Ford and Tate; a niece, Tina Preston and nephew Craig Hollingsworth; her brother and sister-in-law both preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
