Russell A. "Russ" Lamison, 85, of Allegheny Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 26, 1937 in Armstrong County, he was a son of the late James H. Lamison & Loey (Beckett) Lamison.

Russ was a 1956 graduate of Vandergrift High School. He was employed as a welder for Pullman Standard in Butler for 25 years, and as a laborer for Neville Chemical in Pittsburgh for 15 years, retiring in May of 1999.

Russ was a member of First United Methodist Church of Leechburg, where he was a head usher, and also a former Board of Trustees Member. He coached Little League baseball in the Allegheny Township Athletic Association, and was an Assistant Pack Master at the Cub Scout Pack #502 in Allegheny Township.

Russ enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time at his camp in Elk County, appropriately titled the R & R Lamison Fishing Camp. He liked to be busy, and liked working in his yard. He loved helping others, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilbert & James R. Lamison.

Russ is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Phyllis J. (Miller) Lamison; son, Russell E. (Cheryl Kanzic) Lamison; daughter, Kimberly D. (James) Loftus; grandchildren, Ian Lamison, Lauren (Kyle Berry) Loftus, Shannon (Daniel) Estadt, Dakota Kanzic; great-grandchildren, Drew Lamison, Taylor (Kenny Bonelli) Lamison, and Megan Lamison; great-great-grandson, Leo Bonelli; sisters, Ida Mae George and Anna (Charles) McGuire as well as several nieces and nephews.
