William Cox, aged 87, passed away at his home about a half mile south of West Sonora Tuesday night about 9 o'clock after several week's illness. Death was due to the infirmities of old age.
Funeral services were held this forenoon at 10 o'clock from the Lewisburg M. E. church of which he was a member by Rev. R. C. Moon. Burial was made in Roselawn cemetery.
Mr. Cox has lived for years in the West Sonora neighborhood and was a well-known citizen locally.
