Minnie Orviss Riddle was the daughter of Rev G.B. Orviss and Mary Moseley Orviss of Walker County, TX. She married John H. Riddle on April 1, 1890 in Erath County, TX. Minnie and John had one child, Roscoe Conklin Riddle. Minnie and John migrated to Grayson County before 1900 where she lived until her death. In addition to being a homemaker, Minnie assisted her husband in his shoemaking business, taught school and assisted her son in his medical practice.
