He was born in Elkton, Maryland on July 29, 1949, the son of the late Harry A. and Martha Cosner.
He was a graduate of Middletown High School. Adam worked for Willey Farms as a night-time maintenance worker. He enjoyed going to the beach and traveling with beloved wife. He also enjoyed being with his family - especially spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed holiday dinners at his daughter's house. He also liked working on lawnmowers and cars in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris (Reed) Cosner of Townsend, DE; his children, Doris Potter and husband Randy, of Clayton, DE, Christine Spencer and husband Clarence E., of Dover, DE, and Lisa Cosner; grandchildren, Ashley McEnaney, Eddie Spencer, Adam Spencer, Lindsey Spencer, Autumn Potter, Jared Spencer, Emily Spencer, and Ella Potter; two great-grandchildren Hadliegh and Owen McEnaney; three brothers, Spencer, Harry, and Mark; three sisters Linda, Sherry, and Sharon; his buddy, Richard Parsons; and Tiger, his beloved cat.
Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday November 2 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 1:00 PM.
Interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna, will be held at a later date.
