Bill was born in the vicinity of Goshen, IN. His parents were William and Francis Abbott; sisters were Harriot, Jeannette, and Sue. The family lived in Keene, NH, until 1938, when Bill and Francis bought an old farmhouse in Topsfield, MA
Consistent with his Christian Science philosophy, he wanted to be cremated and did not want a Funeral. His ashes will be placed in a Memory Wall in the Venice Memorial Gardens, Venice, FL, on November 6, 2022, with his sister, Harriot Baker, next to their parents. The family will organize several Memory Circles.
