Mary Logan passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. Mary was born in Vandalia, Missouri, to Richard and Hattie Griffitts Ryan on March 15, 1933 and later moved to Texas. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Logan, parents Richard and Hattie Ryan, and son Alan Logan.
Mary was a down to earth person who found value in the simple things in life. Some of the favorite past times Mary enjoyed were things like sewing, watching her favorite game shows and The Incredible Dr. Pol. She was also well known for her wonderful cooking, especially her potato salad, deviled eggs and her Sunday and holiday gatherings where food was in abundance. Mary was also a huge baseball fan and would love to watch her Texas Rangers, win or lose. When not spending time with her beloved family, watching TV or cooking you would probably find Mary out shopping; she loved to purchase gift items and things that brought a smile to other's faces.
Left to cherish Mary's memories are her two children, Lisa Vaughan, and Steve Wayne Logan, along with four grand-children Jaime Decker and husband Travis, Heather Logan and husband Jason, Lecia Summers and husband Michael, and Jason Vaughan and fiancé Crystal. Great grandchildren are: Alexis Jones, Landon Summers, Brandon Taylor, Samuel Holloman, Anja Hollomon, Delilah Hollomon and Reagan Summers. Also surviving Mary is her sister Patsy Thompson along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, all of whom will miss Mary very much.
Services are scheduled for Monday September 19, 2022 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel in Terrell, Texas at 12:00 PM. The family will received friends one hour prior to the service for a visitation.
