Reverend William "Billy" Blair, age 64, of Cedartown, GA passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022. Mr. Blair was born November 3, 1957, son of the late Charles William Blair and Carolyn Shiflett Blair. Passionate about sharing the Gospel, Mr. Blair was a pastor for many years and was a vital asset to the Polk County Prison Ministry. He had a deep love for his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time working in his garden.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Blair was preceded in death by his sister Pamela Blair Berry. He is survived by his sons, Wade Blair and Craig Blair and his wife, Tonya; daughters, Elizabeth Blair and Amanda Blair Gerstner and her husband, Chris; sister, Tess Blair Summerville, and her husband, Chip. Seven grandchildren also survive: Jacob Blair, Emma Gerstner, Clair Johnson, Julia Blair, Ella Blair, John Gerstner, and William Lucas Blair.
Funeral services for Mr. Blair will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Worldview Baptist Church with Pastor Doyle Kelley, Pastor Chris Hearne, and Pastor Jamie Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Chip Summerville, Walt Fincher, Wade Blair, Craig Blair, Chris Gerstner, and Danny Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Blackmon, Jacob Blair, and the Worldview Brotherhood and Prayer group.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 23, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
