Cyrus, the third of eleven children of Simeon Bradbury and Sarah Davis and twin brother of Edwin Bradbury was born on 9 March 1813 at Buxton, Massachusetts, which became a part of Maine in 1820.[1]

Cyrus married Jane M. Waterhouse (1814-1886), the daughter of Theophilus and Jane (Milliken) Waterhouse in March 1836 at Standish, Cumberland, Maine.[2] They had eight children born at Maine:

  1. Emily J. Bradbury (b. 26 Dec 1836; d. 24 Feb 1906, Sanford, ME)[3][4]m. 3 Aug 1869 at Saco, ME, Daniel D. Barrows (1827-1886)
  2. Julia F. Bradbury (b. 6 Sep 1841; d. )[5]
