Charles Cochran Adams, Jr. (1907–1992)
Xanie Ruth Curry Adams (1912–1975)
Marriage: 23 Nov 1935

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife Gayla Boyer Adams

Chuck Was a graduate of Garinger High School Garinger High School where he played football and was captain of the track team. Chuck went on to graduate from Wingate College (AA) and Wake Forest University. (BA) While at Wingate he was active in track and student government. At Wake Forest Chuck was Co-Captain of the track team and set the school record for the discus. He was also a member of the Monogram Club and Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

Chuck had a successful sales career spanning over 40 years beginning with Mobil Oil and ending with his own LLC, CIII Packaging.

A devoted Christian, Chuck attended Mineral Springs United Methodist Church. Over the years, he served on many committees, including Trustees, Missions and Witness. While Chuck preferred traditional worship, he helped in organizing the beginning of the modern worship service at Mineral Springs, The Bridge.

Chuck never hesitated to get involved or serve the community. He was a long time member of the Planning Board for the Village of Wesley Chapel. He served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Wesley Chapel Volunteer Fire Department. He was a 32 nd Degree Mason.

It was at Garinger High he was introduced to Young Life. He was an active "Young Life Kid" and as an adult became a passionate advocate for Young Life in Union County, NC. He never lost his enthusiasm for bringing teens to Christ!

Chuck loved Hatteras Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and had a particular love for the group of anglers that made the pilgrimage every November to surf fish. He was very proud of his association with the Blues Brothers. As an active member, he found a way to raise money for various causes on the Island including hurricane relief and the OBPA.

Chuck loved his family above all else other than his God. He was a loving and devoted husband, a caring nurturing Dad, a fond and affectionate brother and a loyal friend.

Chuck Adams came into the world April 25, 1945. When he left it on September 20, 2022, it was a much better place. Those who knew and loved him will never be the same.
