Clara Louise Stovall, age 88, of Fairview, Texas passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022 in McKinney, Texas. She was born in Benton Arkansas on June 4, 1934. Clara graduated from Benton High School in 1952. After high school, she went to Southern State College in Magnolia, Arkansas. Clara married her high school sweetheart, Don Stovall, on June 19, 1954 and they were together for the next 49 years. Clara and Don enjoyed their life together and traveled extensively. Clara was a founder of "The Garrett Art Gallery" on the square in McKinney, Texas and was a gifted artist. She was particularly known for her Texas Hill Country landscapes and bluebonnets. Clara was very kind, very capable and very independent. She was also very outspoken……never afraid to speak her mind on the subject at hand.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Don Stovall; parents, John and Louise (Kriegbaum) Wimmer; and sisters, Doris Petz and Dorothy Wright.

She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and their families, all of whom loved her dearly. Clara referred to them as her "Arkansas Family". She is also survived by many friends, including special friends Curtis and Carol Irwin.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Clara's home.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Clara's honor to The Kidney Foundation.
